Greetings, my name is Scott and I live in northern Michigan. I graduated from THE Great Lakes Maritime Academy in 2008 and have been working as a third mate since. I have sailed across every ocean except the Arctic and Pacific for Maersk and Crowley. Most of my shipboard experience is on the Great Lakes where I have worked for Key Lakes (formerly U.S. Steel) and even Grand River Navigation (worst.company.ever.). My exploits have included the M/V Columbia Star, S/S American Victory, S/S Arthur M. Anderson, and S/S Cason J. Callaway. I have also transited almost every navigation check-point in the world including Gibraltar, Panama, Straits of Hormuz, and Straits of Malacca.
