Bio
[edit]My name is Stephen. I am a college student studying electrical engineering and I plan to earn my bachelor's degree in December of 2019. I work as an umpire for baseball and softball. I do roughly 5-10 games a week during the summer. Most of my games are high school level, but I also work a lot of younger levels. My hobbies include watching TV and sports, playing random games on my phone, and taking long naps during the day. I enjoy fixing things while learning about how they work at the same time. If there's an electronic appliance that needs to be fixed, my family will ask me first. Some of the things I have fixed are TVs, computers, an electronic dartboard and other toys.

Work experience
[edit]Umpire (baseball and softball)
I've been an umpire for eight years now. I started at my local park district in Roselle when I was 15, and it's the only real job I've ever had. I have moved my way up from tee-ball and peewee to working hundreds of high school level games. I became IHSA patched in 2014. I now work for several associations including Roselle/Medinah Baseball and Softball Organization, Carol Stream Park District, and Fox Valley Blues. As an umpire I'm considered an independent contractor, so I really have no boss, just assignment coordinators. I try to get as many games as I can in the spring, summer, and fall, which would be around 150 games a year. I absolutely love my job and I don't think I'll ever quit.
