LankaBandaranayake is an award-winning Sri Lankan theatre actress & costume designer.
Personal life and education
[edit]Lanka wos born on 21st May 1982, in Anuradhapura , Sri Lanka. She studied Bio Science at Swarnapali Girls College, Anuradhapura and later joined the "Wanniya Wedikawa Drama Group" & she started her career as an actress.She completed voice training, body movement & emotions Workshop in "ABINA Academy of Perfoming art" conducted by Anoja Weerasinhe in 2004, Sri Lanka.And also she successfully completed Drama course in North Central Province Drama School, conducted by The Department of Cultural Affairs (N.C.P)in 2004.Lanka got married in 2007 with Sanjeewa Upendra Who one of the prominent theatre, teledrama & film actor in Sri Lanka.
Career
[edit]Lanka has working in a variety of Plays and character roles in Sri Lankan theatre productions, teledrama & films since 2001.
In 2001,Lanka made his debut in "Ak Maranayakata Pasu"(After one death)play. She Won Her first award in 2003 North Central Province Art Festival for her role as "Sopina" in Wariga Sangaya play She Nominated for the Best Actress Award in 2004 National Drama Festival,Sri Lanka.
In 2009 for her first costume design in "Ahinsakainge Aramaya" play she Awarded as the Bast costume designer in 2008 National Youth Drama Festival & 2009 National Drama Festival.
