User:Lautremont

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lautremont takes his user name from the psuedonym of the nineteenth century french writer Isidore Ducasse, author of Les Chants de Maldoror and Poems. The correct spelling is Lautreamont. Ducasse died during the Prussian Siege of Paris in 1870. The present writer is an artist living in San Francisco, CA. He exhibits his work in New York semi-annually under his real name. Isidore Ducasse took pride in developing other writers' texts: "Plagiarism is necessary. It is implied in the idea of progress. It clasps an author's sentence tight, uses his expressions, eliminates a false idea, replaces it with the right idea."--Lautremont 20:39, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
