Lawson Willard is an American architect.

He was born on May 16, 1965 in New York City. He received his bachelor's degree in Political Science in 1988 from University of Colorado, and he received his MArch in 1995 from The Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) where he worked summers for Frank Gehry & Associates.

He moved to San Francisco in 1995 and worked at STUDIOS Architecture for three years, he then worked for Turnbull Griffen Haesloop Architects before starting Lawson Willard Architecture in 1999.
