The Bonn Biblical Seminary was founded in Bonn in 1993 as a denominational theological training center for churches and missions. The Bonn Biblical Seminary works together with the BTG-KeF church association.

The Bonn Biblical Seminary believes that its mission is to link theology, church and outreach particularly closely - through both teaching and practice. The seminary works in a strongly community-based way. Committed involvement in the church is not only taught at BSB, but also encouraged. BSB represents an evangelical-free church understanding of congregation and is part of the Baptist-Mennonite faith tradition.

The bible seminary is located in Haus Wittgenstein in Bornheim near Bonn. It operates as a registered association since 1995.

History[edit]

The Bonn Biblical Seminary was founded in 1993 by Russian-Germans of the Federation of Baptist Churches. Initially, the lectures took place in the Protestant Free Church (Baptist) in Bonn. In 1996, Haus Wittgenstein in Bornheim-Roisdorf, previously the headquarters of the "Bündnis 90/Die Grünen" party, was acquired. As early as 1995, the Theological Distance School was launched as an alternative to the day school. In 1997 the Theological Evening School was opened. The seminary offers volunteers the opportunity to study alongside their family and job. In 2002, the Bonn Biblical Seminary partnered with some mission organizations to establish a new pedagogy program (for children's & youth ministers).Since 2004, the Weekend Theological School was held in Porta Westfalica. In 2005, after several years of preparation, the Master's program was launched in collaboration with Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth/Texas). As of today (2020), approximately 1000 students have already completed the various training courses.
