I created this account around 2014, and have mostly used it to make spot fixes that I notice while perusing Wikipedia.

I have two core memories of using Wikipedia as a younger child before making this account, both circa-2009, using the dusty old 20-inch monitor in my hallway.

1. I was reading about elephants one morning on Wikipedia; no clue why. I stumbled into a sentence claiming that elephants can reach a top speed of of 55 km/h, "which is 12% the speed of light". I remember thinking this was absolutely ridiculous, and I thought it was hilarious. It also made my librarian's words feel more true that "Wikipedia is an unreliable source". Unfortunately, I've tried to look for that piece of vandalism using Wikipedia edit history search tools, but I couldn't find it. So there's the concern that it's a false memory, but I really do believe it happened. I have this specific image in my head of getting in the car to go somewhere soon after and telling my older brother about this (laughing as I recounted the finding, thinking how silly someone must be to think that 55 km/h is 12% the speed of light!).
2. When Roger Federer beat Andy Roddick in the 2009 Wimbledon Championships – Men's singles final, I was so upset with Roger denying Andy his last good chance at the title. So, as an act of retaliation, I went to Roger's page and edited his career winnings to $0. Of course much to my confusion, this edit was quickly (perhaps automatically) reverted, so I tried again, and maybe one more time after that, until I realized my efforts were futile. Of course, I went on to become a huge Federer fan a couple years later (and a Rafa Nadal hater), and then about 10 years later, in 2021, I became a huge Nadal fan.
