The Fries–omelette sandwich is a sandwich made of half a slit baguette, in which French fries and an omelette are placed.[1]

Often eaten for lunch, it is the archetypal popular meal that Algerian workers traditionally order in gargotes, enjoy on picnics or take back to the office. It is one of the most consumed sandwiches in Algeria.
