Wikipedia is an interesting medium.

Facts

Only facts can stand up to the ideological warfare underlying nearly every article I have come across. And what is a fact then? Its something that can be verified by evidence.

An ideological battleground where facts are often buried out sight for the sake of somebody 's inability to deal with the ramification of facts.

My hopes for the future of wikipedia

I wonder what the next generation of wikipedians are going to be like? Hopefully they will not compromise with facts and will not give a darn about who gets offended.

Things I despise

Too many people get offended by facts and try to erase them. I find that despicable.

The problem is that this site comes across as facts, when it is merely opinions. People should not be able to edit stuff. With the name wikipedia, it makes your average person think encyclopedia, as if this were more than just what some shlub wrote.
