Alabama Pharmacy Association
The Alabama Pharmacy Association (APA) is a nonprofit professional organization with over 1,600 members statewide. The APA offers continuing education programs for pharmacists and technicians, and members take a leading role in lobbying for pharmacy at the state and national level. The APA was established on August 11, 1881 and is the oldest professional organization for pharmacy in the state. APA members represent all practices of pharmacy and are committed to their profession and their patients. The current Executive Director is Louise F. Jones.

The APA offers continuing education (CE) programs for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians at twelve District Meetings held throughout the state. The APA also hosts CE programs at the Mid-Winter Conference, Year-End CE Program and the Annual Convention and Trade Show, the association's premier event.

The association publishes a quarterly journal for members which provides continuing education for pharmacists and technicians, information on state and national legislative issues, member profiles and other news relavent to the profession of pharmacy.
