Name LEVIN pronunciation My great grandfather William Hort Levin would have pounced his name 'Leveen' This pronunciation was in general use in my youth and was always used by the family. I was born 1932 in Wellington and grew up always hearing this use. I have a letter from Professor Arnold Wall circa 1960's, in which he recalled arriving in New Zealand 1899 at which time the town and also Levin & Co were always pronounced Leveen.
