Moth-apple tree

[edit]

The Moth-apple tree (Lepidopterus arboratus) is a small fruit bearing bush whose seeds are found on the Brown Maiden Moth[1]. It is studied scientifically for it's incredible rate of growth with the ability to produce fruit within a very short amount of time. The Moth-apple fruit is very similar to that of the crab apple but is much smaller and is actually dangerous to consume. The bush only grows to around 20cm tall and the fruit are not usually larger than 2cms in diameter. Not much is known about this plant although some scientific study has been done. [2]
