Lyndon is an American rock band from Chesapeake, Virginia, formed in 2012. The band solely consists of Rory Lyndon Phillips (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums).

Initially with other members, the band started as Phillips' trying to start a band with other serious musicians that shared his same taste in music. After he taught himself an unorthodox production method, he began releasing singles and experimenting with a more raw acoustic sound, until Lyndon released a demo album, "Solace.", on Nov 15, 2014. Continuing with the same sound, "All These Thoughts I've Had" was released in early 2015.

Going back to his more acoustic sound, Phillips next released "Lone Time" fairly quickly, then failing to release his next album due to a substance abuse problem, which lead to a few months of hiatus.

The band is currently in midst of working on its first studio album, From Greece To Bermuda, while the demos for Blouse, Jupiter, New York, and Hemorrhage have been released early as teasers of the albums release.

History

Rory Lyndon Phillips started a solo project in 2012. Phillips, who named the project Lyndon after his middle name, saying that "it's a different side of, not everyone knows each other middle name so I thought I would use mine as a way of showing another side of myself". He tried to put together a live band,t but failed attempts to click with anyone, or to find someone serious enough, he decided to keep it as a solo project, writing and recording all the instruments.
