Billie Untermann (1906 - 1973) was a Female Geologist who received her B.A. in Geology (1929) and later an M.A.(1934) at the University of California (1934) She would later become a curator of the Geology museum at the same institute.

She was the single author of the text "The Uinta Basin—Past and Present." This text highlighted the history of the Uinta Basin, which is a stretch of land in Utah which was first colonized 15,000-20,000 years ago. [1] “Geology of Dinosaur National Monument” was a popular text she created with her husband Ernest Untermann. [2] The texts that she contributed to would be instrumental in elevating the levels of tourism in Vernal.
