From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article lays down some rule based design guidelines for a metal casting process. A casting process is a type of a metal working process in which we pour a super heated molten metal into a cavity and then allow it to cool.[1]

During the planning phase for the manufacturing of a product a number of design guidelines should be implemented for a metal casting process, which include:

  1. Location of cavity
  2. Size of cavity
