The book documents the rise and fall of historical companies, profiles the founding fathers of electronic instruments, and examines the rapid proliferation of technologies that set forth the path to manufacturing instruments on a global level, often in several locations, and the impact this practice has upon the companies, instruments, pricing and world-wide access.
