Exemptions
[edit]- Casino Floors
- Cigar bars and lounges, who make 15% of their income from tobacco products.
- Tobacco Retail Establishments whos primary (51%) sales are from tobacco products.
Penalties
[edit]A person in violation of the law:
- $250 first offense
- $500 second offense
- $1000 for each subsequent violation
Business that fails to comply with the law:
- $250 first offense
- $500 second offense
- $1000 for each subsequent violation
Smoke-Free Casinos
[edit]Atlantic Prevention Resources(APR) and Atlantic County REBEL have began pettioning for Smoke-Free Casinos. The casino floors are the biggest exemption from the law. Currently these organisations are working to remove them from the exemption.
