[1]Mandala Djembes is a Mumbai based djembes selling company in India that started manufacturing and selling of Djembes drums in May 2018. They specialize and focuses only in making and curating traditional Djembes which is a West-African drum. Today Mandala Djembes has outlets in Mumbai and Bangalore.

Djembes or jembe is a rope-tuned skin-covered goblet drum played with bare hands, originally from West Africa According to the Bambara people in Mali, the name of the djembe comes from the saying "Anke djé, anke bé" which translates to "everyone gather together in peace" and defines the drum's purpose.

The company makes wooden djembes with animal skin as the tradition holds. A typical Manadala Djembe drum would be mango wood with goat skin and ropes with 30 knots or above. There are other accessories like Kessings, Djembe Hats and carry bags that the company also manufactures.

The company is owned by Gaurav Gupta - a marketing expert who also runs his own luxury branding agency called Austen C&C.

Recently, musicians from Mandala Djembes recently performed with the drumming legend Sivamani in a Cancer Awareness Event held by P.D. Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai Near Kala Ghoda.
