Philippines Story
The Philippines were claimed in the name of Spain in 1521 by Ferdinand[edit]
Magellan, a Portuguese explorer sailing for Spain, who named the islands after King Philip II ,Philippine national flag was designed by Emilio Aguinaldo. It was first displayed in the Battle of ALAPAN on May 28, 1898 after the Spaniards were defeated and surrendered to Aguinaldo. The Philippines flag has four color, which is blue ,red, yellow and white ,every colors has a definition ,blue stands for peace, justice, sacrifice, and truth ,red stands for patriotism and valor, the white Simbolize, fraternity, liberty, and equality ,the large yellow sun symbolizes freedom, unity, democracy, and sovereignty, take a look at the eighth rays in the sun of the Philippines flag ,it represents the first eighth provinces that fought against Spanish colonial rule, which is Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Tarlac, and Batangas,And lastly there's an 3 stars,it represents Luzon, Visayas ,and, Mindanao. Did you know ,over 333 year's Philippines was colonized by Spain, on June 12, 1898, Emilio Aguinaldo declared the Philippines independent from Spain and proclaimed himself president.After ruling for 333 years, the Spaniards finally left in 1898 and were replaced by the Americans who stayed for 48 years. Right now the Philippines have a freedom. The national hero of the Philippines is Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonzo Realonda or also known as DR.Jose P. Rizal. Jose Rizal became the Philippine national hero because he fought for freedom in a silent but powerful way. He expressed his love for the Philippines through his novels, essays and articles rather than through the use of force or aggression. Philippines has 7,641islands.and 82 provinces The 2023 current population of the Philippines is 117,337,368. The Philippines is home to between 120 and 187 languages. Filipinos are kind, responsible, generous,has cleanliness in their places. And Filipinos has respect to each other,even if they didn't know who you are.[edit]
