Jean Paul Morelle was born in Cassis (France) in 1942, he grow up in the north of France (Tourcoing), then moved in Italy (Verona) in late 50’s. Now he lives in Italy and France. He studied philosophy and art, then he graduated in Architecture at the University of Venice (Italy). For the first five years of his artistic career Jean Paul Morelle worked in the field of ceramics, and taught a course for graphic advertising between 1965 and 1968. Then he collaborated on innovative experiments of visible poetry and worked with other architects on several projects like an important public school in Verona. He moved in Rome in 1967, where he met other writers, musicians and artists, like the famous Achille Perilli. Many art critics and experts were interested and wrote articles about his works: G.C Argan; Giorgio De Marchis; Matura; Bardi; Emilio Villa; etc. Between ’85 and ’86, he made important exhibitions indicating the passage between two phases; from the first one using circular shapes always particularly accurate and clear, to the second one more similar to Achille Perilli’s paintings. He has been exhibiting his works since 1965 in France, England, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy and Japan. He participated amny times to the Biennale Arte in Venice. His works are exposed to the Galleria Nazionale di Arte Moderna (GNAM).
