Marcus Pivato is a professor of Economics at the University of Cergy-Pontoise (France). He was a professor of mathematics at Trent University, in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. His main research interests are social choice theory and welfare economics. In the past, he has also done research on cellular automata, symbolic dynamics, coupled cell systems, and equivariant dynamical systems.
