I've been a technical writer, editor, and professional indexer most of my life. I'm intelligent, kind, knowledgeable, and compassionation, none of which prevents me from making mistakes, putting my foot in my mouth, being wrong, or not knowing things.

My interests are quite broad; in fact, it might be easier to create a list of things I am not interested in than to create a list of things I am interested in. However, at the top of my list would be

• living in a sane and loving way on this lovely planet
• learning what this thing we call "love" is and learning to be more loving
• learning about my fellow human beings; their natures, their passions, their motivations, and anything else
• living with cats

For recreation, I enjoy reading, gardening, needlework, and being outside at places like the rough, rocky Northern California coast or in a redwood forest.
