Martin Barslev, artist. Born 12. 7. 1948, in Hvidbjerg, Thy, Denmark.

Educated locksmidt, IT-administrator. Martin Barslev began in 1982 to make his painting and drawing known for a greater public. Designer, indoor architect, painter.

He has made about 70 exebitions in denmark, USA and France. In contact with Artel, Artists Working Together, in USA, he has exebited in Nebraska. From 1994 to 1997 He participated in 4 exhibitions on Galerie Art Present in Paris with drawings and paintings. He made arttravels to Paris to get the newest inspirations from study of art and talk to people. Chosen for a statecensuret exhibition on Kunstnernes Sommerudstilling, KS in Esbjerg 1986. Barslev became mamber of an artjunction i Aalborg, Aalborg Kunstpavillon, and for some years, he participated in exhibitions, as a member of a group of artists called "Det kunstreriske Råd", DKR. When he started as an artist in 1982, he exhibited neorealistic artworks. 10 years later he began painting neosurrealisme in lightfull colors, about partly social norms, modern life and fashion, and partly birds and conditions from the nature. Crownprincess Mary in Paradice is now on of the motives, exhibited in libraies in Copenhagen since 2009.
