Ogongo village[edit]
Ogongo is a village in Uukwambi district in omusati region it is situated around 60 kilometer at western of Oshakati[1] and around 20 kilometer east side of Outapi[2]. During the colonial era it was having a military base which was having some satellite and it wa known as satellite base,which was occupied by 53 battalion. In the village there is a school named Ogongo combined school.This school it was established in 1950 and most of this school building on dilapidated state at this time.
In this village there is also a high institute which named after the village respectively and it is called University of Namibia Ogongo northern campus[3]. This institute is main focus on Agriculture and student is told about crop production and Animal husbandry. It has it around 1500 in habitant. In the village we are having a clinic and water which are coming from Ruacana through the canal are purified here[4]. And even the consistuency where we belong it is named after our beautiful village.
