Who Am I?
[edit]My name is Mat Bettinson, born in Darwin Australia in the year 1971.
Though born, raised and schooled in the far North of Australia, I left in 1992 and spent over 15 years based in the United Kingdom. Having recently returned, I now live in Melbourne Australia with my wife Jeannine. That strange circumstance probably makes me the fanciest talking person from Darwin you'll ever meet.
To aussies I'm a pommie, to pommies I'm an aussie. While that might be a little confusing in identity terms it does provide ample scenarios for opportunistic switching of allegiance between sporting teams.

Work
[edit]In 2010 I gave up my career (in the videogame industry) to go back to university full time to major in linguistics and Chinese.
