Hi, I'm MaterialsPsych. I am a materials science graduate student with interests in materials science (obviously), solid state physics, chemistry, psychedelics and other areas. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, camping, photography and editing Wikipedia in my free time. I plan to write a few articles and improve some others in my areas of interest. When I want to distract myself from real-life responsibilities, I'll dabble in recent change patrolling.

I can be occasionally found on Wikipedia Discord and IRC channels using the nickname Ghost1984. My use of that nickname online long predates my Wikipedia activities, and I am not connected to the (inactive) Wikipedia account of that name.
