For the past 20 years, I have worked as a business consultant in the fields of strategy, organization, change management, e-business, and IT management. I live in Sweden, and have worked in Sweden most of this time.

I am the founder and president of the Global Energy Transformation Institute (www.GETInstitute.com), which addresses change management issues in energy related sectors of the economy (transportation, utilities, industrial processes, the built environment, agriculture and behavior/work life change).

The work of this institute is based on the analysis in my fifth book "Global Energy Transformation." "Global Energy Transformation" (Palgrave Macmillan 2009), provides an in-depth analysis of aspects related to large-scale transformation of national and global energy systems. This book was written primarily with an American audience in mind, relating as examples a number of earlier large scale transformation endeavors that have taken place in the United States. “Global Energy Transformation,” however, takes a global outlook on the challenge of energy systems transformation and argues that we need large scale government projects combining planned and managed change with market based activities.

My primary area of competence is business strategy and change management, rather than environmental issues or energy technology. I analyze the organization and methods that will become necessary in order to transform global energy systems on a large scale. Up until now we have primarily run technology development and small scale change. I also bring up some technology aspects, but discuss them from a change management point of view.

On Wikipedia I focus on postings that are relevant to my main areas of expertise above and hope to continue to add value to this important public forum.
