• I chose this article on the basis that it touches on a topic I am passionate about. I am able to get information on how information technology is being applied in business through informatics and how it can help to improve business structures and operations.

The BI discipline was created in Germany (in German: Wirtschaftsinformatik). It is an established academic discipline including bachelor, master, diploma and PhD programs in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and is establishing in an increasing number of other countries as well as Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Malaysia, Poland and Mexico.

The article's content is relevant to the overall concept of what the topic entails. Some of the content might be outdated due to the fact that some of the references are more that five years old. I believe it manages to deal with Wikipedia's equity gaps. Content on application can be added and expanded on.

The article can be improved by addition of more information and sources that are current. A notable strength is the fact that it uses sources that are reviewed and reputable. I believe the article is underdeveloped and would do with more information.
