1. Short Story: Expressionz - Smile

She was looking in the sky. There were some clouds, some dark clouds. Probably it will rain today, a thought came to her mind. But before rain, something else came. One postman came upto her, and gave her an inland letter. It was from her husband. She opened it. It read like this.

"My dearest dearest wife,

I know you are waiting for this. I hope that now, after reading this letter, I will again see that beautiful smile of yours. I always think of you and you know that. How is Archana? Give her my love. I know, what you may be thinking, whether I will come back or not. Let's hope for the good, but I certainly know one thing that you have that courage which no other woman can show. And I married the right girl, who will always be there for her children, and will always love me more than I can only imagine. I have to go now. Bye my, my lovely lovely sweetey pie. Good Night."

And there came a smile, that beautiful smile on Arpana's face, of which Subedar Rajesh is talking of. Just 2 days back she attended the cremation ceremony of her husband, who died while attending the ruthless fire from the other side in the freezing camp of Ladakh. But she knew that this month's letter was still pending, and she was waiting for that. That evening she smiles a lot....
