Mark Siegel (Singer/Songwriter) (Born September 29, 1989) is an American songwriter and inspirational speaker out of the New York/New Jersey Metro Area. He has written and recorded for artists on the Sony BMG and Jive records labels both in Nashville Tennessee and New York City.

Early Years[edit]

Siegel was raised in a north New Jersey home, Son of Patricia and Jeff, the second of two children (sister Megan), he began writing at 14 years old and began working alongside producers his junior year of High School.. He graduated from Hackettstown High School in Hackettstown, New Jersey in 2008. Siegel began his full-time music career after moving to Nashville TN and writing for his artists in the winter of 2008.

Conferences[edit]

After moving to Nashville in the winter of 2008, Siegel spoke at several "Young Musician" conferences inspiring talent and teaching the young generations how to follow their dream. He continues to travel to speak at Youth Conferences across the US inspiring the Young generations and upcoming musicians and songwriters to follow the paths they have been given. On June 9, 2009, Siegel gave a talk at the "Revolve East" Youth conference titled "Live out Loud" where he encouraged the 9,000 youth in attendance to chase after their dreams and seek after what doors and opportunities get opened in their lives.

NEXT Movement[edit]

In 2009 Siegel began a "life changing" movement alongside of others in the Northeast where he grew up. He expressed that there are struggles we deal with in the current day especially within the most densely populated area in the US. "New Jersey is a beautiful area he described, but just as anywhere, people are seeking after and looking for greater purpose". Next is a christian based movement based on serving through missional works. Constantly moving and working through the local communities making a difference in one persons life at a time. People need to be involved in meaningful community - it's almost as essential to life as breathing. Change in our world and even in ourselves is best accomplished together.

Organizations[edit]

Mark has done work with and alongside organizations that include To write love on her arms and The Invisible Children movement. In the past six years, the Invisible Children Movement has hosted 5,369+ “official” screenings at colleges, high schools, churches, concerts and other venues. As of June 2009, it is estimated that more than 5 million people have seen “Invisible Children: The Rough Cut.”[6] Also at one occasion they had 200 cities helping the cause in 10 countries across the world getting one of the boys (the main focus of the film) to travel over there and help the protesters to show the government of the impact it made.
