Melanie Bonita (born August 5, 1972) is an American bestselling author, award-winning international inspirational speaker, faith coach, praise dancer, gospel fitness instructor and United States Army veteran. She’s on a mission to help people get more determined, dedicated and driven to achieve their dreams and destiny. Her “Daily Dose Series” show others how to maximize their life and achieve their dreams by using daily strategies to get there.
Early Life
[edit]Bonita was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Maryland, Kansas and graduated from high school in Hawaii.
At a very young age, Melanie Bonita was a very determined person who overcame many adversities in life. Although she had her daughter at age 16, was married at 18, separated at 19, and divorced by 20, Melanie obtained two college degrees and purchased her first home by the age of 27. In 2001, she began experiencing various health issues; she was diagnosed with arthritis in both of her knees and was involved in three major car accidents which caused excruciating pain in her neck and back. Not understanding why the Lord would want her to continue dancing, Melanie began to realize that she was to no longer just dance, but minister through her body. Her life became a living testimony. Now, Melanie dances by the leading of the Holy Spirit. As she praises Him, she feels no pain. Her motto is “There is healing in your Praise.” Melanie was also was laid off from her job and experienced financial hardship. Yet, through all of these trials, she was still determined to reach her dreams. With the favour of the Lord, her tenacity and fortitude, Melanie now lives her dreams and is determined to help you live yours.

Personal Life
[edit]Bonita holds a Bachelor of Science from Bowie State University. She is a partner of Spirit of Faith Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Michael A. and Dr. Dee Dee Freeman.
She currently resides in Mitchellville, MD and has one daughter, Crystal.
