PhD in computer science at the University of Cambridge, England, in 1975

Spent 20-something years working for ICL designing database software and related products.

Member of the W3C XSLT and XQuery working groups, editor of the XSLT specification.

Produce the Saxon open-source XSLT processor, author of a book on the subject.

Now run my own company, Saxonica.
