Introduction

Hi, I'm Michael, I currently finishing my undergrad for Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. This is the last course that I will be taking in my undergraduate career and will allow me to obtain a minor in computer science. I look forward to being done with academia and hope hat I can stay away from it for the next couple of years. You'll note that all the changes I make on Wikipedia are specifically relevant to CIS 2050.

Personal Life

I was born in Brampton Ontario, Flower City ^[1]. It is a boring town which the name implies. I'm currently living in Waterloo Ontario, and will be till I successfully find a job.

I'm a lurker and always will be so writing a profile on Wikipedia goes against the majority of my standards. I plan on deleting this profile once the class is over.

Education and Academic Career

I'm 0.5 credits away from graduating from Laurier with a undergraduate degree in economics. I can not wait to be done with my Academic Career as I am quite sick of jumping through the holes of academia, I don't see how the testing system that is currently used is effective in teaching anything. With the majority of my classes being in the 40/60 format (40% midterm, 60% final) I'm decent at writing tests but do not retain knowledge at all. I'm interested to see if this course is going to actually teach me something as there seems to be a lot of work that needs to be done through out the semester. On top of which there is no final exam. Should be interesting.
