BEHLOL PUR Behlol Pur is a famous and historical village located about 43 KM North East of Gujrat City and about 28 KM from city of Sialkot. It is a village like hill top because most of houses is built on two small mountains and all area covered from three sides with mountains and south side is river Chenab. History of Behlol Pur is very powerful, this village made on the name of Behlol Lodhi and after famous Mugal King Babar also stay in this village during his visit from Kabul to Delhi, King Babar also mention this visit in his book Tuzk-e-Babri. After the separation of India Pakistan this village is also leading in area, we have a very golden history. A very good veiw to Marala Headworks where Rriver Chenab majestically winds its way into Pakistan. Marala Headworks at river Chenab which is a tourist spot as well as located just about 2 Kilometer from Behlol Pur. Three Rivers Manawar Tawi, River Chenab and Jammu Tawi entering Pakistan from India meet at this very place which gives a wonderful and lovely view. It is a very attractive tourist place and very fine picnic spots, can be developed here? The people are loving and accommodative and cooperative with the visitors and tourists. The area has a lot of potential for setting up new industries along marala-Gujrat road and now this road is also is wide. Labors are cheap in the area and available in abundance. This village, despite having all this, is most neglected village as for as the facilities of health and educations are concerned. It is a big village with population over 5000, but lack of development. Some of the major problems or major features of profile of the area/ people are:-

  • Illiteracy and non existence of educational facilities for girls especially to study beyond fifth class. There exists no high school for girls in the area.
  • Non availability of basic health care facilities for mother and child.
  • Non existence of learning and skill development opportunities and facilities.
  • Non availability of antenatal and postnatal checkup facilities.
  • Lack of transport facilities for transportation to patients to cities in case of emergency.
  • Non availability of a public Bank in Behlol Pur costs too much problem, knowing that there is many person of Behlol Pur working in Gulf and Saudi Arabia.
