== Migs Migster ==[1]
Shamir Vaughn a.k.a. Migs Migster was born August 13, 1988, in Brooklyn, N.Y. As a child, He bounced around from Bushwick to Bed Stuy to Flatbush to East Flatbush and back again. With his Pops a long-term guest of the state, his moms, when not caring for the mentally disturbed in the G Building at Kings County Hospital (the Psych. Ward), had her hands full with her future rapper son, who was always beating on a table or a wall while spitting out rhymes.
In kindergarten, he had memorized his first rap way before he could write it down. Music was absorbed from everywhere: wafting through the streets or pouring out of his older sister’s room as she was chilling to now classic 90’s jams. And on a series of long car rides with his grandfather, Shamir was schooled in the sounds of Marvin Gaye and Billie Holiday. At age ten, a chance encounter with up-and-coming rapper Canibus [2] in Times Square helped to nourish the hip-hop seed that had already been planted in the soil of Shamir’s soul. He meticulously studied the subtle nuances of a rich vocabulary and aggressive underdog attitude laid out on the advance CD that Canibus had placed in his strong young hands.
By the time he was in the seventh grade, “MiGs” was born—in the form of a graffiti tag. Shamir signed his new moniker on anything he could reach with a marker or a spray can. His emerging writer’s lifestyle led to a racking habit which, along with some trouble, brought MiGS his first skateboard. With a flair for contemplative and complex maneuvers, MiGS quickly invented his signature double kick flip varial, setting a standard for quality and originality that would soon find its way into his rhymes.
In the summer of 2007 young MiGS wrote relentlessly, filling marble notebooks front to back with bars, hooks, and bridges. He recorded his first track “M.I.G.S” at Rob Mitchell’s Studio, quickly following it up with the assertively sublime “Fighting For Survival.”[3] That particular track, with its clever Queen sample, caught the attention of Disco Pusher,[4] the New York City-based songwriting team. This meeting of the minds eventually led to the production of five singles and continued work on Migs Migster’s forthcoming debut album: Story Of My Life (STFUxIDGAF)[5]
After taking a hiatus from the lime shaded lights, and fast life. MiGs now known as MiGs Migster or Milf MiGs to friends (Mother F-ing MiGs) alongside with his crew of lower east side own rebels, concreted their presence, in the growing downtown scene. Bumping shoulders with other upcoming and establish artists and figures. With a goal of staying to himself and sharing his ever-growing aura with the world, staying ahead of the curve. You can now find MiGs enjoying the retired lurker life, but still keeping his ears to the street.
Currently MiGs MiGster is in the works of his self-proclaimed Ep titled “Might delete these tracks later” with surprise guest artist alongside New Lurk City, and all the friends and family such as Sandflower[6] , Ninjasonik[7], Scramz [8], The cloud room[9], Ferrari Snowday Cite error: A <ref>
