Mini Biography Gregory Mikell was born in Statesboro Georgia where he grew up on his grandparents farm in the formative years, then spent most of his youth in Florida. He went to undergrad at JSU of Alabama after which he was accepted to train at The National Shakespeare Conservatory in NYC and summer training with John Kane of the Royal Shakespeare Company as well as some graduate work at the Actors Studio Drama School.

His most recent stage performance was with New Century theatre in the award winning playwright, Lynne Nottage's Intimate Apparel and Quantum Theatre's 'Breakfast With Mugabe'by British writer, Frazier Grace. Other work includes Othello and Macbeth as part of New Perspective Theatre's Shakespeare's Villains series, New Jersey Repertory's Theatre Brute Series of which he remains a member, All For Love with Boomerang Theatre at NY Center Stage, The Exonerated at Florida Studio Theatre, Gentleman caller in a Creative Artist Lab adaptation of The Glass Menagerie as well as The Seagull. Other work includes Wings Theatre Company's "Richard The Lionheart while rehearsing with Stage East ensemble for a production of Lee Blessing's 'A Walk In The Woods, in the role of John Honeyman. Soon after, he played the role of Kulygin in Chekhov's Three Sisters with the Prospect Theatre Company and subsequently the renowned Ensemble Studios Theatre with fellow actor Keith David, The Memory Orchestra at HERE Art Center, Welcome To Our City by Thomas Wolfe at The Mint Theatre, toured with Theatre Works USA's The Color of Justice by: Cheryl Davis.

Other favorite roles include Antipholus of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors, Cloten in Cymbeline, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Hoke in Driving Miss Daisy. Recent feature film credits in production as of summer 2009, The Guiding Hand (AKA 7E) and and Blood Run Free. Prior films include the lead role in the Indie The New Movie an action thriller: Heart Attack a romantic comedy, Buddy Hampton a jazz short biopic and Hitler's Strawberries, a dark comedy, as well as being a voice-over artist, having recorded for TV and film such as ABC's 20/20, National Geographic and film / documentaries.

Trivia Is a distant cousin of Ray Charles who also hails from Georgia.

Gregory is a published poet: is included in a poet's publication of the best poets of 2002. He has written since the age of 15. His hobbies are photography, painting, writing both screen and stage as well as song writing, horseback riding and hiking.

Made his living as a professional cook for more than 10 years. He first learned to cook for the navy and was in fact offered the opportunity to become a chef and has cooked in four star hotels.

Was the lead singer of a band as well as dabbling in keyboards and percussion in his youth. In fact, his band went into the studio and laid down tracks. He has also made his living as a sound engineer apprentice by studio editing and live concert recordings. All of the above have proven an asset to his production company, Acclaim Theatricals, which is not only an entertainment production company of film, theatre and web content, but also a media services entity based in Manhattan.

Mini Biography Gregory Mikell is a proud member of (AEA SAG-AFTRA:) Formed his own production company many years ago with the intention of laying the foundation for his vision for Acclaim Theatricals LLC As of 2012 Gregory's dream takes flight as he fulfills his intention of creating opportunities for independent artists to help make their dreams come true. In addition to his short film, "Impetus" that is in pre-production, Gregory has a podcast, "Being Social", that premiers in May, 2013 as well as two web series in production, '[ [Shakespeare Series']] and [|'On The Town'], a monthly online entertainment talk-show that is preparing to expand to global markets.

He has written a one-man stage-play on the African American male that premiers in 2014 as well as his upcoming short film, "Impetus" which takes on the challenges of racial profiling to be shot in late 2013.
