The numbering of the individual volumes is most inconsistent, and the information printed on the title pages should be treated with extreme caution, both as to the number of the volume and its actual contents. See Imslp Padzirek for an attempt to make sense of the following lists.

The first six issues are not numbered, but lettered.

The next four issues (7-10) were published by Universal-Edition, but they were mis-numbered as Vols. VIII to XI (instead of Vols. VII to X) ; to correct this error, a short second 'real' Vol. XI was published by Pazdirek.

The seventh volume has Volume VIII (E–Fitzenhagen) on the title page, which seems to be a misprint for Volume VII: it is bound together with (Fitzenhagen-Fz) and (G- Gattermann) - presumably mis-numbered Volumes VIII and IX although the last two have no title page.

The series continues with Volume X (Gattermann–-Gouvy) and Vol. XI (Gouvy-Hall); the next volume is also numbered Volume XI, (H - Hall, R.B), as if to make up for the missing Volume VII

The twelfth volume is correctly titled Volume XII (Hall - Hervé); and continues with Volume XIII (Hervé-Hyspa). The rest of the issues are conventionally numbered,

Well... This is a German one - (Actually published by Universal Edition (No, 1758) and with 1906/7 catalogue at the end.) Hmmm (E–Fitzenhagen) poss. actually vol VII takes you up to p. 384, but bound volume (with no title page) continues F with (Fitzenhagen-Fz?) actually Volume VIII to p. 616: it is bound with (G- Gattermann), likely Volume IX although there is no title page in this scan. (date handwritten on front cover (WHICH?): 15/10/07)

Lol, From at least Vol. X (also in Vol. XVIII) Padzírek & Co. started its own dedicated imprint, "Universal-Handbuch der Musikliteratur" In ca. 18 Bänden.

On the covers it says Volume X (Gattermann-Gouvy) - bound (including title page) with Vol XI (Gouvy-Hall), but then they realised their mistake and make another vol XI, (H- Hall)

French version:

Each bound volume contains a number of individual issues (livraisons). Only the first part retains its the title page - the others are continuously bound up, minus their title pages and list of publishers.
