Dale Ward (musician) Dale Ward was born Howard Dale Ward on August 18, 1938 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. An American singer during the 1960's. Early records were rock and roll style became mostly country music by the late 60's. His recording of "Letter From Sherry"for Dot records made it to #25 in late 1963(Robin Ward on backing vocals). By 1968 he had a minor hit on Monument records. In 2009 Dale was arrested twice on drug charges in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Dale passed away on January 21, 2013. miradan83
