BIO:

[edit]

I am an art student, currently interested in graphic design. I have grown up drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. It's pretty much something I do daily at this point and I am always working on projects whether its for school, myself, or a commission. In my free time, when I'm not creating art, I spend it playing video games for the most part. Currently the most recorded hours I have in a game goes to Ark Survival Evolved. Though I play a lot of other games including, Terraria, Rainbow Six Siege, Sniper Elite 4, Minecraft, and Civilization V. I am mainly a PC gamer, though my family does own a couple consoles.

If I was to get involved in any Wikipedia pages long term they would likely involve video games or art. However, previously in high school I wrote my scholarly paper on the subject of sex education in school, and would not oppose writing about that subject again. Another topic I would be interested in researching the benefits or harm drugs can do to a person. Specifically within that topic, I am interested with the affects of Marijuana and studies done regarding that controversy.

Article Critique

[edit]

I recently got into Pathfinder within the last few years and came across the Pathfinder Wikipedia page that looked lacking in some aspects. In doing so, I visited the page “Pathfinder Role playing Game” on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: The under-emphasize of online tools such as websites, The need of citations, and famous role players or parties.

Online Tools

[edit]

While there is a mention of a bunch of products such as books or game miniatures there is no mention of online resources apart from the official Website. There are countless resources for pathfinder players such as roll20.net which helps people play over the internet. Another is d20pfsrd.com which acts as a Pathfinder wiki as well as a shop. There are many resources,— especially online — apart from the novels mentioned on the Wikipedia page.

Citations

[edit]

To this article’s credit it does do a reasonable job of citing. The only edit I would make in this is that the part above the content box could use some citations, because there are none there.

Well known Roll players and parties

[edit]

As a Pathfinder player I noticed a lack of references to current or past parties and players. While some do mistakenly title under the term “DnD”, there are many playthroughs of the game. For instance, “Saving Throw” has a playthrough of the game live streamed and posted to YouTube.

Summary

[edit]

I think this article has a good basis for a strong page and could help people learn the basis and background about Pathfinder and ultimately role playing games in general. Overall I think this article could use some additions, and would greatly benefit from it.
