About me
[edit]I've been a student, a professor, an environmental scientist, and a journalist. I appreciate Wikipedia because it allows an editor to expand beyond his/her profession and learn new things, while passing what we have learned on to others. I am a solid Christian, who has chosen the unlikely career of studying the environment, both in the fields of geosciences and academia. I've learned that science and faith can compliment each other, if you are not using one to prove the other. Trying to prove faith by science, or the other way around, will get both you and your audience all mixed up.
I would like to state this point for those who are publishing their work, whether it be in a scientific journal or on Wikipedia: Truth neither resides on one side nor in the middle, it resides in fact. And neutrality doesn't mean compromise; it means finding the facts and sticking to them.
