I am using this page for a course I am taking. The class is Social Change in the United States, where we will focus on deindustrialization in Pittsburgh as well as the world.

We are practicing creating and editing Wikipedia pages, a valuable skill for the our futures. This is my senior year in college. I am completing a dual major in Psychology and Sociology. I am also pursuing a Certificate in Leadership. I am excited to graduate but am also nervous about what to expect in the next year.

I am planning on either attending graduate school or jumping right into my career. For this course, I am going to write a paper on deindustrialization in Japan. Japan is a country that I find very interesting. I love videogames, sushi, and Japanese cars and would love to visit Tokyo one day in the future. This is my first edit of my Wikipedia page.

I have just finished my study questions for Chapters 1 and 2 in this course. The reading sometimes seems complicated but is then tied together nicely by the end of each chapter. It makes one realize just how complex our world and its social interactions are. This class is great, and lunch was good too!

I just finished my second set of questions for this course. I am ready to contribute to our new Wikipedia page with information from our class work!

I agree most with the global society approach presented by Sklair. This approach seems to take the most positive stance on globalization. I think that globalization seems inevitable and so rather than be pessimistic, we should try to identify the most positive aspects of a global community and utilize them.
