  • Is the Lead concise or is it overly detailed?

Lead evaluation[edit]

The lead include an clear introductory sentence, but it should include additional description about the topic rather than introducing what discouraged workers are. The lead does not directly address to the major sections of the article. The main contents are the analysis of discouraged workers by a country, the United States, Canada, Australia, and European Union. The volume of the lead is appropriate, but the content should be improved.

Content[edit]

Content evaluation[edit]

The content in the article addresses to the topic and up-to-date in most parts, but some parts are not. However, it can improve the content by the reasons behind, the effects on economy, an analysis of another country, and the comparative analysis.

Sources and references evaluation[edit]

Information on the articles have references and are cited, but some information are from a source published over 20 years ago.

Organization[edit]

Guiding questions
  • Is the article well-written - i.e. Is it concise, clear, and easy to read?
  • Does the article have any grammatical or spelling errors?
  • Is the article well-organized - i.e. broken down into sections that reflect the major points of the topic?

Organization evaluation[edit]

The article does not have grammatical errors and clear to read.. However, the contents can be enriched since the contests are mainly analysis by a country.

Images and Media[edit]

Guiding questions
  • Does the article include images that enhance understanding of the topic?
  • Are images well-captioned?
  • Do all images adhere to Wikipedia's copyright regulations?
  • Are the images laid out in a visually appealing way?

Images and media evaluation[edit]

The article includes tables and image, it can be added more to enrich the contents.

Checking the talk page[edit]

Guiding questions
  • What kinds of conversations, if any, are going on behind the scenes about how to represent this topic?
  • How is the article rated? Is it a part of any WikiProjects?
  • How does the way Wikipedia discusses this topic differ from the way we've talked about it in class?

The article is poorly developed and need improvement. It should include the detail description about the topic, its major reasons why there are discouraged workers, its effects on economy, and strategies to improve it.
