I am an aspiring biologist who normally goes by the name Christine. I worked on the Monopterus albus page several years ago for an ecology project-- thus, the odd username. My research has included a number of projects in biochemistry and molecular biology, particularly in the area of lipidomics. I am fascinated by the role that sphingolipids play in cellular signaling and events as varied as growth, reproduction, metabolism, inflammation, and apoptosis. I hope that this second venture into Wikipedialand allows me to broaden my knowledge of molecular biology and general wiki skills.
