Who Am I?
[edit]Somewhat interestingly, my user name is my real name. I am a experienced software engineer residing in Jerusalem, Israel. I have always felt strongly about returning to the Internet what others have enabled me to extract from it. I therefore will pause to make careful corrections or additions to Wikipedia pages I read. One edit at a time, I hope to make the Internet in general, and Wikipedia specifically, a better place.
My Interests
[edit]My interests vary far and wide, and it is pages dealing with these topics that I feel confident enough to modify. A partial list of my interests includes:
- Software design and programming
- Classical Cryptography and Cryptanalysis
- Chess in all forms, from games played to lore and history
- Playing musical instruments, including English Concertina, Classical Guitar, Piano, and Harmonica
- Classic mathematics
- Listening to classical music (I am uplifted by Bach and the other masters)
- Military history, especially from World War I onwards
- The study of languages, modern and ancient
