From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am MountainQuiet. My username comes from a poem by the Sung Dynasty poet, Wang An-Shih (1021-1086). The poem is called "Here at Bell Mountain,"

Here at Bell Mountain

Water soundless, a wandering stream skirts bamboo forest. West of bamboo, wildflowers trace spring's tender assent.

Facing all this beneath thatch eaves, I sit through the day: Not a single bird. No song. Mountain quiet goes deeper still.[1]

I take creative inspiration from literature, cinema, and music, and my interests are manifold, ranging from the arts to philosophy to local history to ecology to 21st century technologies. I am new to wikipedia. I have no philosophy and no goals. I will edit and revise according to my whims.
