Mpho Lakaje is a South African media entrepreneur and senior journalist. He began his journalism career at Can-I FM in 1999 while completing his journalism studies. In 2005, he was hired by Johannesburg based Talk Radio 702, as an intern. He went on to become an on-air news and sports reporter. In 2007 the BBC World Service approached him and hired him as a radio, television and print correspondent. Three years later he was hired by South Africa's first 24 hour news channel, eNCA.

While at eNCA, he created and hosted current affairs show, Against All Odds with Mpho Lakaje. Barely six months after the show was launched, it won the Association of International Broadcasting award. It also won several other accolades, including the Vodacom Journalist of the Year award.

Against All Odds with Mpho Lakaje was also given special recognition by the South African government in 2014.

Lakaje is a husband and has three children.
