STICK SHIFT

Stick Shift is an American punk band formed in 2011. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Sean Lavin, bassist and backing vocalist Andrew Worthington, drummer Drew Snider and guitarist and backing vocalist Austin Seibert, who became a full member after there Relay for Life show on May 4 2013 and replaced former guitar player Tim Steveson. Drew replaced former drummer Warren Snyder in 2013 and Warren Snyder prelaced former drummer Eric Steinburg.

'Formation years and Bio'

In 2009 Stick Shift wasn’t named Stick Shift the first name was Bricklet’s then Orion, those names didn’t really stick so the band decided to drop the name Orion and name themselves Stick Shift. Sean and his mother were in a car driving awhile, she mentioned the name and Sean took it.

It took over four years for Sean (the main song-writer/ lead vocals/ lead guitar/ founder of the band) to find people to make Stick Shift. Sometime in the fall of 2011 Sean asked a group of friends Tim Stevenson, Andrew Worthington and Eric Steinburg to join, they all said yes. Sean had some one on one band practice with Tim and Andrew cause Eric was with in colleg. When Eric finally got back from college everyone got together for the first time. Originally Stick Shift was a four person band but Tim left after the first practice the band had together, once that happened Sean decided just to make Stick Shift a three person band.

Around the summer of 2012 Eric was going a little crazy, things weren’t going well, there was consent fighting with him, some people thought that Eric didn’t like the fact that Sean was leader of the band so the Eric left the band and everyone in the band hasn’t talked to him since, so Stick Shift was a two person band. After a few months Sean and Tim we're jamming together after many jamming session Sean asked Tim to come back and he did. So after a few weeks without a drummer Sean and his friend Warren Snyder went to Guitar center and there Sean saw Warren drum for the first time, he video tapped him playing and sent it to the rest of the band. After a few weeks from no one saying yes Sean did it again and they said and they all said "he's got a great beat" so Sean asked if he wanted to join and he said yes, now they were back to a four person band. After Stick Shift had a few practices and the first show at St. Johns church in Pennsburg, Pa Tim wasn’t feeling it so after they had their first gig Tim left the band again a month later, he is now in another band. Now Stick Shift being a three person band again they we're worried until Warren told Sean he had to get knee sugry so Warren left so yet again Stick Shift went down to a two person band, Sean and Andrew were still fine with it. Now months until there Relay for Life show Sean and Andrew just pratice on there one but after months of being on there own Sean was gonna make Stick Shift go acoustic. So one day Sean asks his friend Alex if he knew anyone who could play drums, thats when Alex mentioned Drew Snider. Sean and Drew we're keeping in contact over Facebook and the phone. Eventually they got together and jammed, Sean liked his style so he told him to come to band practice, so he did. After there first band practice together they have all clicked. So now after weeks of practicing Stick Shift had there second show at Relay for Life in there home town, it was a big hit for them.

On that day Andrew brought his friend Austin Seibert, when Stick Shift was done there show Sean was talking and Austin and Austin mentioned he played guitar and he sings so Sean asked him to come to a practice with them and he did, yet again the band had clicked. So now Austin is part of Stick Shift. Stick Shift is now one of the best bands in the Quakertown area.

Side Project band

In 2012 the band started another band called Generation Indecisive, Sean and Drew we're in it together and thats how they met, the band didn't last very long so everyone left so Sean disided to take the name and make it there side project band. So Stick Shift did the same thing that Green Day did, when they aren’t Green Day they are Foxboro Hottubs.

Upcoming CD

Very soon Stick Shift will hopefully make their VERY first album; it would be called “I Can Do It” Stick Shift certently has the stuff and everyone will love them
