Ferran Costa Marimon (Mataró, September 14, 1970) is an Andorran politician, businessman, and linguist. A member of the Andorran General Council since 2015, he has been President of the Liberal Parliamentary Group since 2019.

Education[edit]
He holds a B.A. Magna Cum Laude in International Relations from Knox College (Illinois), a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Lleida, and a postgraduate degree in Management of Small and Medium Enterprises from the School of Business Administration and Management (ESADE). Ferran Costa holds a PhD in applied linguistics from the University of Andorra.
Political Career[edit]
Ferran Costa has been a member of Liberals of Andorra since 2009, a party where he held the position of general secretary from April 2012 until May 2015. He was elected general councilor in the Elections to the General Council of Andorra in 2015. During the VII legislature, Costa, in addition to chairing the Legislative Committee on Education, Culture, Youth and Sports, was a member of the Legislative Committee on Social Affairs from March 2015 to December 2017, a member of the Legislative Committee on Economy from March 2018 to February 2019 and a member of the Permanent Committee from May 2015 to February 2019.
He was elected again as general councilor in the 2019 Elections to the General Council of Andorra. During the VIII legislature, he chairs the Legislative Commission of Education, Research, Culture, Youth, and Sports; as well as the Agency for Quality in Higher Education of Andorra (AQUA). Since May 2019, Ferran Costa is head of the delegation of the General Council of Andorra to the OSCE-PA and member of the delegation to the IPU.
As diplomatic missions, Costa has participated as a delegate of the OSCE-PA in the election monitoring missions during the 2020 United States Presidential Elections and also in the 2021 legislative elections in Uzbekistan.
Professional Career[edit]
He has been the manager of the language school inlingua Andorra since 1996 and is a member of the Board of Directors of inlingua International, based in Bern (Switzerland). He was elected president of the board of directors of inlingua International AG, a position he has held since June 2019.
Volunteering[edit]
Since 2014 she has been part of the Language Research Group of the University of Andorra, which studies linguistic uses in a broad and transversal way, with special emphasis on the particularities of the use of Catalan in Andorra.
