I will not be contributing to Wikipedia anymore

[edit]

I was actually enjoying contrubuting to articles on here but a situation has arisen where i feel i am not longer motivated to contribute anymore. I have been informed that an email was recieved by Wikipedia written by the director of a film i wrote an article about asking to remove the images and questioning the validity of some of my claims in the article. The images were removed with no comment whatsoever on the talk page, and 'Citation needed' labels inserted into the articles on claims that actually were fully referenced anyway. If the complaint is genuine then i understand we have a legal problem and the images need to be removed, but i have got no way of knowing whever the complaint is genuine or not. We are not allowed the see the complaint, we are not allowed to check the validity of the complaint, we are unable to check if wikipedia has checked the validity of the complaint. Now in the future how do i know that someone has not invented a complaint because they have a personal interest in the subject of an article and pulled an unfavourable image, there is no way of knowing this and therefore i cannot 100% trust that this has not happened before and therefore i do not want to invest my valuable time on this anymore. Articles i have played a major role in writing / editing

[edit]

Keane (film) - My first ever Wikipedia article, Took it from a tiny stub to a B rated article in 2 days. I am trying to keep it in good order and relevant and hopefully get it assessed as a Good Article.

Articles i am currently contributing to

[edit]

It's a Wonderful Life - Far to an important film to have such a bad article, it is terrible to be honest so i have near enough scrapped the whole article and started again from scratch though have managed to keep some of the content the only issues is that very little of it is referenced. There is still loads to do but getting lots of help from other editors and it certainly is a at a good place to make it easier to makes improvements to. My aim is for it to becomce a Featured Article at some stage, if the subject matter is anything to go by then it really should be.
