Early activism

[edit]

Dhaanya stop taking birthday presents as soon as she turned four. She started raising funds and donations for local charities providing food and essentials to refugee mothers and infants. Dhaanya have been active in creating Box of Hope around SDG themes to spread awareness at grassroot level. Annually she donates hair to The Little Princess Trust that makes wigs for children with cancer. She had actively involved her family in act of charity each year by feeding and supporting children from MAPA (Most Affected People and Places).

In 2019, Dhaanya visited a drought prone region in India. There she learned that children walk miles under the burning sun to come to school and those schools lack clean drinking water. This condition was further worse for girl child, who are kept away from school to fetch water for families. Dhaanya felt depresses to see the impact of climate change, that is keeping children away from the basic right of education.

Same year she decided to commit towards the education of young children, to raise funds and provide cool and clean drinking water fountains for schools in drought prone region.
